The Miracle Harsch Gartopf fermenting 10 liter crock pot is crafted in Germany. Easily make nutrition packed sauerkraut, pickled vegetables and so much more. Their use of ceramic weight stones eliminates mold while their clever water sealing system allows fermentation gasses to escape without allowing air to enter the crock pot.
To size the crock pot take 80% of the total volume. This pot is 10 liters (2.6 gallons) and can produce 2 gallons.
The patented Harsch crock-pot is a beautiful stoneware piece and is fired at 1200 degrees Celsius and finished with a leadfree glaze. This crock pot includes a ceramic cover which fits perfectly over the top and has a special cast gutter in the rim creating a seamless airlock. Gases from the fermentation can escape easily but air is not able to enter. Many other crock-pots can create a pasty white yeast, this one doesn't! Suitable for all types of vegetables. Allow 4-6 weeks for fermentation.
